What Kind Of Content Can You Submit?
The answer is almost anything, as long it is related to a place and it is has not been published elsewhere.
MyGeoInfo is not just for travel articles and photos. You can submit anything that is place related such as articles about where you live or have lived, favorite places including parks, restaurants, stores, and more. If it exists on a map you can submit content about it. Write about sporting events, places, happenings, your experiences, opinions, etc. Tie it to a place and submit it.
Rules And Terms Of Use
The Rules
1. No copied content. All submissions must be original. Do not copy and paste or use “free content” from other sites. When you submit content to MyGeoInfo you agree to grant the site exclusive rights to feature that content on the web. We, and every other person in the world can check for duplicate content by entering the URL of your article at http://www.copyscape.com
2. Never, Ever, click on any ads on the site. This is against Google Adsense terms of service and will get you banned quickly.
3. Keep it clean. Keep your content clean enough so that grade school kids can use the site as a resource. Do not use the site to slander another individual or business. (Honest reviews of businesses or products are OK.)
4. For articles try to write at least 400 words. For photos and videos add at least a couple of good descriptive paragraphs. Posts without text or with only a few words will be deleted.
5. Do not use copyrighted material of any kind or reveal any trade secrets of third parties.
6. Submissions should relate to a physical place on the face of the earth. Use the map tool when possible to add a map.
7. No adult or gambling related links or content.
8. No spam. Please don’t use the site just to promote your other websites. Only one “self serving ” link is allowed.
9. Please submit content in English only.
10. Please don’t submit any place or location related information that could compromise the security of any individual, government, etc. Do not geotag personal residences or safety sensitive locations.
11. You agree as a user or contributor of the site that the site is for entertainment purposes only and agree to hold MyGeoInfo, it’s owners or administrators harmless for any misuse of information on the site. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy of any content on the site. You agree that there is no employee / employer relationship between you and MyGeoInfo. This site reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of use.
12. I agree with rule number one, that I will not submit content that appears anywhere else on the web and which is my own work. I recognize that MyGeoInfo is regularly scanned for plagiarism using Copyscape.com for duplicate content.
