MyGeoInfo is a place where you can upload any kind of information about a specific place, anywhere in the world. You can earn residual income from advertising that is placed next to your content. If you just want to join and not participate in the revenue sharing option that’s OK too.
For those who do have a Google Adsense account we share 90% of Adsense income with users by rotating ads featuring your code 90% of the time.
Why The Site Is Unique.
You can submit almost any kind of article about a place to MyGeoInfo. Tell the story of the oldest diner on Route 66 or what your town was like when you were growing up. Write about an event, store review, beach, resort, dive spot, surf spot, you name it. Upload a photo or video of your favorite place or embed a You Tube video by simply putting brackets around the [url]
The Rules
1. No copied content. All submissions must be original. Do not copy and paste or use “free content” from other sites. When you submit content to MyGeoInfo you agree to grant the site exclusive rights to feature that content on the web.
2. Never, Ever, click on any ads on the site. This is against Google Adsense terms of service and will get you banned quickly.
3. Keep it clean. Keep your content clean enough so that grade school kids can use the site as a resource.
4. Try to make your post as long as you can. The minimum post size is 130 words. Posts not meeting that requirement or containing only “spammy text” will be deleted. Aim for 400 words for articles for your best chance to be found in search engines.
5. Do not use trademarked or copyrighted material including photos unless you have permission.
6. Submissions should relate to a physical place on the face of the earth. Use the map tool when possible to add a map.
7. No adult or gambling related links or content.
8. No Spam. You can write an article about your business and add one link to your site, just add some good objective information such as directions, features, etc, and don’t make it seem like an ad. Please submit only businesses that exist at a physical place. Spam posts will be deleted.
9. Please submit content in English only.
10. Please don’t submit any place or location related information that could compromise the security of any individual, government, etc. Do not geotag personal residences or safety sensitive locations.
11. You agree as a user or contributor of the site that the site is for entertainment purposes only and agree to hold MyGeoInfo, it’s owners or administrators harmless for any misuse of information on the site. We make no guarantee as to the accuracy of any content on the site. MyGeoInfo reserves the right to make changes to the terms of use.
12. Avoid the use of repetitive keywords. In other words, make your post something substantial, not just a “spammy” collection of words. Write descriptive posts with lots of good information. Shoot for at least 400 words if possible. The minimum post size is 130 words. Post titles must contain the name of a physical place or region.

The more traffic your articles get the more you can earn. Join social bookmarking sites like Digg, Mixx, Twitter, Reddit, Delicious, Infopirate and others and use the handy “Add This” tool at the bottom of your published post to spread the news.
How Do You Embed A YouTube Video?
To embed a video simply visit YouTube, find the video you want and copy the URL into your article. Then Place a bracket at the beginning and end of the URL, like this [url] Don’t leave any spaces.
How Do I Add An Amazon Associates Product To My Post?
Members may add up to two Amazon Associates product to their post as long as they are related. You must first join Amazon Associates, then log on to Amazon.com. Search for related products and then click on the “Link To This Page” tab at the top. Copy the simple text link that comes up as an example to make either a word or a photo in your article an active link.
How To I Insert A Google Map?
The MapPress widget at the end of the text editor makes it easy. Just enter the place name, click on “add location” click withing the article where you want the map to appear, then hit enter.
I Can’t Upload My Photo. I Get A Message Saying It Is Too Large.
Our server will handle photos of up to 2 MB. That’s plenty for great resolution in an article. Anything more is overkill. If your photos are more than 2 MB you can use a program like Photoshop to trim them down by using “Save for Web”. Another good free utility for reducing photo size is called Image Optimizer.
Who Owns The The Content I Submit?
You do. MyGeoInfo does not seek ownership of your submissions. By submitting articles, video or photos you grant MyGeoInfo the exclusive rights to feature your content on the web. It should not appear on any other sites. You may remove your content at any time you wish but we hope you will leave it on the site where it can earn residual income for you.
